Build a panorama that still works one panel at a time

A panorama connects several images with a shared visual field. It can give a set continuity, but the panels are still delivered as separate files and may be viewed separately. Plan both the overall scene and the meaning of each slice.

Begin with panel boundaries

Decide the destination size and number of panels before placing the artwork. Think of the sequence as adjacent rectangles with known edges, rather than an unlimited canvas that will somehow divide itself later. Mark the seams mentally while arranging the scene. The useful question is what each rectangle will contain when exported alone. A continuous color field can connect the set, but a headline or important interface control should not depend on a neighboring file to become understandable.

Use continuity as a supporting element

A broad gradient, an abstract shape, or an aligned baseline can carry the eye from one panel to the next. Those elements should reinforce a clear product story, not replace it. Give each panel its own task and accurate screenshot evidence. If a large decorative shape crosses a seam, check that each visible portion still looks deliberate in isolation. Avoid a composition whose first slice is mostly empty and whose last slice contains the only meaningful app view simply because the whole spread looks impressive.

Keep essential content away from the seam

Do not split a headline, a key result, or an important control across exported files. Store interfaces can add spacing, crop previews, or present images in a different viewing arrangement. Even when images appear next to one another, the seam is not a reliable reading surface. Place readable text and the meaningful part of a screenshot inside a single panel with breathing room. A device silhouette may overlap visually in the overall design, but consider whether the resulting partial view still explains the app to someone seeing only one image.

Control rhythm and screenshot scale

A continuous background makes differences in alignment more noticeable. Use consistent type sizes, headline positions, and visual spacing unless a purposeful change marks a new part of the story. Keep app screenshots at compatible scales so the device does not seem to jump unpredictably between panels. Vary composition only when it improves the explanation: an overview can be followed by a close view of a useful feature. If every panel contains the same screen with a shifted background, the panorama adds decoration but little information.

Choose the destination before reusing the set

A panoramic phone sequence does not automatically become a tablet or desktop sequence when the dimensions change. The aspect ratio affects how much of the continuous field each panel holds and where the focal points land. Review every slice after a resize, and adapt the surrounding art to the new space. Check the destination platform’s content guidance as well as dimensions. For some asset types, a direct view of the app is more appropriate than a heavily composed promotional panorama.

Inspect the individual export files

Export the set, extract its ZIP, and open the files in numbered order. Check the actual width and height of every panel. Look for unintended offsets, clipped text, half-visible controls, and differences between the preview and the delivered image. Then inspect each file on its own. Ask whether the app purpose and the panel’s message remain clear without the surrounding spread. Keep the filenames ordered so the submission sequence is easy to reproduce, but do not depend on filenames to communicate meaning to the visitor.

Keep an ordinary set as a fallback

Preserve an editable backup before major panorama changes. If a destination preview breaks the continuous effect or a panel becomes too dependent on its neighbors, simplify the layout into a related set with independent backgrounds. Originality is not measured by how far a graphic travels across the canvas. The important result is that the images remain truthful, readable, and appropriate for the listing. Check the current official platform guidance before submission; these composition suggestions are editorial methods, not store-approval guarantees.
