Check the destination and output preset
Write down the platform, asset type, orientation, and exact pixel dimensions you intend to deliver. Compare those with the selected output preset before exporting. A decorative phone frame does not establish the submission size, and a generic desktop image is not automatically a Mac App Store image. A Google Play feature graphic needs its own 1024 × 500 canvas and different content choices. Use the output registry and current official store documentation to resolve the size before you review visual details.
Review content before making the file
Replace all fictional sample screens, app names, captions, and values with accurate material from your product. Confirm that each visible feature is available in the build being promoted. Remove private information, unrelated notifications, access tokens, and confidential material from source captures. Check that a chart or example result cannot be mistaken for a verified business outcome. Decorative quality should support real evidence. Do not keep a sample rating, testimonial, or statistic simply because the template looks more convincing with it.
Test one representative panel early
Export an image before the whole set is finished. Choose a panel that contains the most demanding combination of text, screenshot detail, and decoration. Open it in an image viewer and inspect the actual pixel dimensions. At full size, check fine interface lines, letter edges, frame crops, and any photographic detail. Then reduce the view to approximate a small listing preview. Catching a scale or font problem now is easier than revising every panel after the sequence has been polished.
Confirm format and opacity
Apple’s screenshot specifications use PNG or JPEG without alpha, and Google’s general screenshot guidance calls for JPEG or 24-bit opaque PNG. An image that looks as though it has a solid background can still be encoded with an alpha channel. The export process should flatten the scene, and file inspection should confirm the result when opacity matters. If you choose JPEG, look closely at text and hard interface edges for compression artifacts. A small file is only useful if it remains readable and suitable for the destination.
Extract the ZIP and inspect every image
A ZIP is a container for the exported images, not the file you normally submit as a screenshot. Extract it and confirm that the number of files matches the intended panel set. Open them in the numbered order and check every canvas size, crop, headline break, and alignment. Panoramic designs need an extra review of seams and independent panel meaning. Do not assume that a successful first image proves that later panels exported correctly, especially after resizing or changing the screenshot count.
Keep editable work separate from final images
Download a project backup and keep it with the source screenshots. A PNG or JPEG is a flattened picture and cannot recover all editable text, element positions, and output settings. Browser-local saving is convenient, but clearing site data or switching devices can remove access to the working project. Use a descriptive release folder and distinguish reviewed final images from earlier tests. If the project is important, verify that the backup opens with the expected images before relying on it as the only editable copy.
Make the store check the last step
Compare the final files with the current requirements in the store’s official documentation and submission interface. Dimensions and format do not settle questions about truthful content, target devices, or promotional imagery. Keep any rejection wording with the relevant export so the next revision addresses the actual issue. AppScreenshot.online prepares inspectable assets; it does not guarantee acceptance or a particular marketing result. Once the files pass your review, preserve the exact delivered set so later changes do not accidentally replace the approved version.
