Is the editor free, and do I need an account?
The public templates, editing controls, and exports are free. You do not need to register, enter payment details, or create an account to start designing. Finished exports do not require attribution to AppScreenshot.online. You still need permission to use the material you bring into a project, including screenshots, photos, logos, and fonts. Free access does not transfer the rights to third-party assets or remove the destination store’s content rules.
Are the example apps real?
The template interfaces are fictional sample designs created to demonstrate composition. Their screen content, names, values, and captions are not proof of a real app’s functionality. Replace the samples with genuine screenshots and accurate descriptions of your own app before publishing. You can use the template arrangement and supplied creative background in a permitted finished design, but do not present a fictional feature as something your application offers.
Where is my project saved?
The editor uses browser-local project storage, rather than an account-based cloud workspace. Reopen the work on the same device and browser profile. A different browser, another computer, or a private window generally has a different storage area. Clearing site data can delete saved projects. A downloaded project backup gives you a separate editable copy and a way to move the work. A local design link alone does not make the project shareable or provide another person access to your source images.
Can I create iPhone, iPad, Android, and Mac screenshots?
The output registry includes phone and tablet dimensions, Mac App Store 16:10 sizes, generic desktop images, and Google Play feature graphics. Choose the correct output dimensions separately from the decorative device frame. Mac screenshots should show a genuine Mac interface, and tablet screenshots should show the actual larger-screen layout. Generic desktop output is useful for websites and product material, but it is not a claim of compliance with a particular software store.
What is the difference between one image, a ZIP, and a backup?
A single-image export is a flattened picture of the selected panel. A ZIP export groups the images from a set into one download; extract it to inspect and submit the individual files. A project backup preserves editable design data for future work. Keep both final images and a backup if you expect revisions. Check the actual file dimensions after downloading. An on-screen preview is scaled for viewing and is not a reliable measurement of the exported file.
Will the images be accepted by the app stores?
No editor can guarantee store acceptance. Dimensions and image format are only part of the review. Your images must represent the app accurately and follow the store’s current requirements for the target platform and content type. Google Play feature graphics have different guidance from phone screenshots, and a large-screen screenshot may need a more direct view of the interface. Use the linked official documentation in our guides, then check the relevant submission fields in your own store account.
What should I do if saving or exporting fails?
Save a project backup if possible before refreshing. Check download permissions and local-storage restrictions, and test a small project to see whether the problem relates to a particular image or project size. Large images can use substantial memory during export. If the issue continues, send a clear description and sanitized reproduction steps by email. Do not send sensitive screenshots or assume a local project URL can be inspected remotely.
Is every template free?+
Yes. Every original template, editing control, and normal PNG, JPEG, and ZIP export is available without an account or payment.
Can I replace the screenshots inside a frame?+
Yes. Select a device, choose Replace screenshot, and upload a PNG, JPEG, or WebP. Its frame, position, and crop remain editable.
Where are my projects saved?+
Projects and uploaded images are saved in this browser with IndexedDB. Switching browsers or clearing site data can remove them. Download a project backup before you do.
Can I download just one image?+
Yes. Download the selected screenshot as PNG or JPEG, or put every page into a ZIP with one numbered image per page.
Which devices can I design for?+
Use iPhone, iPad, Android, Mac App Store, and generic desktop artboards. Decorative device frames and actual export dimensions are separate settings.
Are the exports accepted by app stores?+
The presets use documented dimensions and exports are opaque. Your actual app content, metadata, and images still need to meet the store’s current policies.
Can I make a panoramic sequence?+
Yes. Panoramic templates use continuous backgrounds across multiple editable panels, with individual panel exports.
Does localization happen automatically?+
Localization is manual. Duplicate a set into a locale, edit the text, check line lengths and direction, and export the locale-labeled images.
Can I use my exported designs commercially?+
The original design elements can be used in your exports without attribution. You must have the necessary rights to your own images, fonts, trademarks, and app content.
Will my project open on another computer?+
Local project links only work in the browser that stores the project. Export a project backup and import it on the other computer.
